Passing through the exquisite gardens and entering the wetlands, I discovered New Zealand's pristine ecosystem. In September, the wetlands were a time of rejuvenation for native plants that had survived the winter, and they were a home to a variety of waterbirds. Walking along the well-maintained trails, I was able to experience the diverse facets of New Zealand's nature. Thanks to the birdwatching binoculars purchased with my "TravelGrant," I was able to observe the wetlands creatures up close, which was also a delight.
