🌿 Gaomiao Ancient Town is located on the traffic loop from Liujiang Ancient Town to Emei Mountain, Wawu Mountain, Caoyutan, and the Leshan Giant Buddha. Since ancient times, it has been said that "five horses return to the trough," referring to the town's unique natural environment and water system, which have contributed to the enduring reputation of Gaomiao's baijiu (white liquor) in Sichuan and Chongqing. Nestled between mountains and rivers, the town features houses arranged in a unique and picturesque layout. It is one of the best-preserved ancient towns in Sichuan and serves as an excellent filming location. 🌿 The ancient town retains its original charm, largely unspoiled by commercial development. It's a small town, easily explored within an hour. The roofs are covered with dark, richly saturated tiles, and the bluestone roads gleam. Lush green moss grows freely, adding to the town's timeless appeal. 🌳 A river flows alongside the ancient town, offering opportunities for water play and rafting in the summer. Visitors can also enjoy tea by the riverbank. A suspension bridge spans the river, resembling a canyon. In the summer, the lush trees provide a cool respite from the heat. This place is also known as the "Bathhouse from Spirited Away." 🥙 The town offers a variety of local snacks, including freshly made puffed rice candy, pickled bamboo shoots, and dried radish. The town is also famous for its cellar-aged baijiu.
