Hong Kong's statutory monuments - Dr Sun Yat-sen Museum

Today I went to visit the site of the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, "Kam Tong Mansion". It was built in 1914 and was originally the residence of Hong Kong businessman Ho Kam Tong. The overall building is in the classical style of the Edwardian period. The interior decoration is magnificent. The curved balcony is supported by giant Greek columns. The colorful glass windows, tiles on the balcony walls, and teak stairs are still well preserved. It is one of the earliest private residences in Hong Kong that was constructed with steel bars and has power lines laid. It is also one of the few existing buildings in Hong Kong from the early 20th century. It was declared a statutory monument in Hong Kong in 2010.
