The Last Remaining Iron Mine Entrance in Hong Kong

At the junction, there is a brown signpost indicating directions—one leading to Heng On Estate and the other to Ngong Ping. Head towards Ngong Ping for about 20 meters, and on the left side near the grass, you will find a low stone railing. Cross over the railing and walk straight into the grass for about 5 minutes to reach the old iron mine entrance. Due to years of neglect and abandonment, the entrance has been sealed off, and visiting inside is not recommended as it may pose certain dangers. However, you can still witness the original appearance of the Ma On Shan mine from earlier years. Nearby, there are also two abandoned mining buildings that are worth exploring.
