Western Peak is located in the western part of Hong Kong Island, between the Central and Western District and the Southern District. It is 494 meters above sea level and is the fourth highest mountain on Hong Kong Island. Although West Peak is not as high as Victoria Peak, the highest peak in Hong Kong Island, the beautiful scenery from the West Peak Observation Deck is no less spectacular. Not only can you see the scenery of the western and southern parts of Hong Kong Island, you can also overlook the western part of Victoria Harbour, Lamma Island, East Lamma Channel and West Lamma Channel. Facing west is a great place to watch the sunset! The route starting from the Peak Plaza to the West Peak Observation Deck is not difficult at all. Especially after I hiked to Lobster Bay last time, I immediately felt that hiking on West Peak was so easy. This is a real beginner hiking route! Transportation to Xigaoshan: Depart from Hong Kong Station, take the No. 15 New Bus and get on at Central (Exchange Square) Station, and get off at the "Peak" terminal. The journey takes about 35 minutes! Not only is there a flat concrete road and shade from trees, but the stairs are narrow but flat and easy to walk on. The most important thing is that you can enjoy the beautiful scenery comfortably.
