Merrill House in Stanley has a history of over 170 years😍 The original site was located at the junction of Garden Road and Golden Mile Road in Central, Hong Kong Island, and was later moved to Stanley Waterfront. When it was demolished in 1982, more than 3,000 pieces of granite at Merrill House were numbered and relocated in Stanley. With its floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the St John’s Cathedral, what is better than spending your afternoon at the airy, gold-accented Garden Lounge and enjoy their signature afternoon tea. Quintessential afternoon tea flavours received a stylish makeover adopting shapes from the architecture of Murray, combining food and art in a tea set. This visit was better than the other ones I had at garden lounge & popinjays a year ago. Their savouries and sweets had improved a lot after their modification, outstanding ones including abalone tart, serrano ham egg sandwich and pistachio blueberry tarts. Tea set was HKD $698 for two persons. Their wide selection of signature Jing Tea was highly recommended.
