Valle de Angeles-hidden mountain gem🇭🇳

I used to live seven years in Honduras capital Tegucigalpa from where Valle de Angeles is only 26 kilometers away. The perfect day trip however crowded on Sundays because many capitalinos = capital citizens come here to have lunch and stroll through the cobblestone streets with many restaurants, bars and souvenir shops. Getting There - by public microbús from San Felipe Hospital or car Attractions - 1. Main Square (photos 3,5,6) 2. church on main square (photo 1) 3. Las Golondrinas natural pond 4. Sin Rumbo mountain viewpoint. With the entrance fee you get Honduran coffee and the right to bring your own picnic 5. Museo Santa Maria Hotels - 1. Posada del Ángel 3* (photo 7&8) 2. Hotel y Cabanas Ros 3. Hotel San José Bed & Breakfast Food & Restaurants - 1. Plaza Edén is a bit outside but well worth it! There are 4 restaurants and at night very romantic. I usually have grilled tilapia fish with vegetables there! 2.
