The Mazda Museum is a transportation museum located in Ujina, Minami-ku, Hiroshima City, Japan. The museum collects and displays the famous commercial vehicles, concept cars, engine technologies, etc. of the Japanese Mazda Motor Company over the years. The Maestro Museum is a tourist facility located inside the Maestro factory, attracting many visitors from home and abroad. In addition to an exhibit that explains the history of the 1920s Mazda and historic cars, you can also learn about rotary engine technology and the car manufacturing process. At the assembly plant, you can see the powerful appearance of the assembled cars in front of you. The museum opened in May 1994 and expanded its exhibition area and updated its exhibits in 2005. The museum is located next to the MasterCard Ujina East Factory. If you want to visit the museum, you must first make an appointment by phone or fill out a form on the website, gather at the company headquarters in Fuchu-cho, Aki-gun, Hiroshima Prefecture on the agreed date, and then take a special bus to enter. "Wanshide" tricycle The exhibits in this museum include the "MAZDA" tricycle manufactured by Toyo Kogyo (the predecessor of Mazda) in 1931, as well as commercially available models and concept cars over the years, as well as the 787B that won the 1991 Le Mans 24 Hours Endurance Race in France, and other famous models. Many models are exhibited on a rotating basis. In addition, there are exhibits such as rotary engines and related parts from previous generations, clay models, and the car assembly process. In addition, supervisors can act as guides and lead visitors to visit the assembly process of some production lines. There is a shop at the entrance of the museum that sells Mazda-related souvenirs. Of course, commemorative items related to the Hiroshima Toyo Carp professional baseball team and the Hiroshima Sanfrecce professional football team can also be purchased here. The update comprehensively adjusts the spatial design and exhibition content of the entire facility, aiming to make car fans and people visiting Hiroshima more familiar with Mazda, and to strengthen its function as a brand communication base. In addition, Mazda’s official website has also opened an “online museum” so that more people can see the exhibition of the “Mazda Museum”. In the new hall, the interior and exterior are combined with a monotonous color scheme and warm wood and lighting, combined with the latest brand concept, to achieve a comfortable facility that is harmoniously distinguished, high-quality and warm. In addition, the museum consists of 10 exhibition areas. According to the theme of each exhibition area, the development of Mazda over the past 100 years and the next 100 years are explained in detail through the guidance of colors and lights. Overall, it is made into an exhibition area where you can experience the entire Mazda story. Finally, the entrance hall will display the latest models of the entire series and will be equipped with a corner for relaxation, creating a space that is more familiar to the Mazda brand. The original route for visiting the interior of the factory (vehicle assembly line) will also remain open. It should be noted that visits to the Mazda Museum require reservations, and online reservations will be accepted starting May 16. #JapanTravel #Hiroshima #Wansida
