The birthplace of Koxinga

This year marks the 400th anniversary of the birth of Koxinga, and a journey was made to visit Hirado Island, the westernmost part of Japan's mainland. At that time, Koxinga's father, Zheng Zhilong, was entrenched here, marrying into the local Tagawa family. On July 14, 1624, Tagawa Matsu unexpectedly gave birth to Koxinga on the beach while picking up shells.
