I went to Asahi-dake in Asahikawa.

The first day, the snowstorm was so bad that I couldn't ride the ropeway... But I couldn't give up, so I tried again the second day, and the weather was so good that I was able to ride the ropeway to Asahidake. I wanted to rent snowshoes at the Asahidake Visit Center, but they were sold out, so I just rented rain boots and went! (By the way, if you go wearing regular sneakers, sometimes it won't work.. It'll snow so much that you'll get frostbite..) As soon as I arrived at Asahidake, I couldn't help but be amazed. I couldn't go all the way to the top, but if you come to Asahikawa, I highly recommend you visit this place. It's such an amazing travel destination, so be sure to visit. Most people take the ropeway up the mountain, ski to the Visit Center, and then come back down, but I'll definitely go skiing next time!
