On May 12, 2017, Wof and his mother joined the YOKOSO Japan Tour and gathered at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building's large bus parking lot at 7:50 am. We arrived at Hida Takayama in Gifu Prefecture at noon and stayed there for a short time, only about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Takayama Old Street is a must-see attraction when visiting Hida Takayama, and it retains the original and ancient architectural style of Japan's Edo period. Hida beef sushi is a specialty of Takayama Old Street and is a must-try. Waffles and his mother saw a long queue and joined the queue. The Hida beef sushi (900 yen/about HK$63) that we queued up to buy comes with three pieces, and even the "plate" used to put the sushi can be eaten. It's a must-try! While my mother was queuing to buy sushi, Waffles took the time to look around and take pictures. He also bought a Hida beef steamed bun (430 yen/about HK$30), but it was very ordinary and he didn't need to try it. Goheimochi (250 yen/about HK$18) is another specialty of Hida Takayama.
