Bayanbulak: My Dreamy Grassland Journey With infinite longing for the distance, I embarked on a journey to Bayanbulak Grassland in Yili, Xinjiang, hoping to encounter something different on this vast land. When I stepped into this grassland, I felt like I was in a green ocean. The vast grassland stretched to the horizon, connecting with the blue sky and white clouds. The fresh air, with the fragrance of soil and grass, instantly washed away my fatigue from the journey. Walking along the winding Kaidu River, the river water glistened in the sunlight like a ribbon in the hands of nature. On the riverbank, herds of cattle and sheep grazed or strolled leisurely, their carefree demeanor making me yearn for such a life. In the distance, eagles circled in the sky, occasionally letting out high-pitched cries, as if declaring their sovereignty over this land. When I arrived at the Nine Bends and Eighteen Turns, I was deeply shocked by the spectacle before me. As the sun set, the afterglow spilled over the river, and each bend seemed like a golden vein ignited by the sun's rays, reflecting the sun's brilliance, as if "nine suns" had fallen into the world. Standing on the viewing platform, I quietly admired this dreamlike scene, my heart filled with awe at nature's craftsmanship. All my previous imaginations of beauty paled in comparison to the shock of witnessing it firsthand. The water of Swan Lake was clear and transparent, like a giant mirror. Every summer, flocks of swans rested and frolicked here, their white feathers contrasting with the blue lake water. Their graceful figures drew beautiful arcs on the water, adding a lively touch to the grassland. On this grassland, I felt the grandeur and gentleness of nature, experiencing the tranquility and freedom away from the hustle and bustle. Every inch of land and every scene here was deeply imprinted in my heart, becoming the most precious memory of my journey. Bayanbulak Grassland is the poetry and distance deep in my soul. I know this dreamy journey will forever shine in the river of my memory.
