Philosopher's Path Hike - From Heidelberg's Red Sandstone to Yingtan, Jiangxi

The Philosopher's Path is located halfway up the southern slope of Heiligenberg, on the north bank of the Neckar River in Heidelberg. It is a walking trail about 2 kilometers long. It is said that when the philosopher Hegel taught at Heidelberg University, he often walked here with friends and colleagues, discussing academic issues together. Walking on this famous trail, while overlooking the town scenery on the opposite bank of the river, reminiscing about the infinite beauty of the past, the entire city of Heidelberg, from the palace to the church, from the stones of the Philosopher's Path to the bridge, from the university classrooms to the elegant villas on the mountain to the street buildings, is all made of red sandstone. The red sandstone has created a romantic cultural capital. This reminds me of the small city of Yingtan in Jiangxi, which is also made of red sandstone. Nature has created the beautiful natural scenery of Longhu Mountain and Guifeng for Yingtan with red sandstone, and also nurtured the Zhengyi sect of Taoism. I went to Yingtan, Jiangxi at the end of last year, but I rarely saw red sandstone buildings in this city. Instead, the natural scenery endowed by red sandstone adds color to the city. In fact, in terms of natural scenery, it is far inferior to the scenery of Yingtan, Jiangxi, but the people here have created a small town with a strong romantic cultural atmosphere using red sandstone...
