Hoan Kiem Lake at night, a place of rest for the people of Hanoi, the city of lakes

In the heart of Hanoi's Old Quarter lies the vast Hoan Kiem Lake. The lake holds a significant meaning for the people of Hanoi. (Refer to the legend mentioned in a previous post.) It's a popular spot for strolls. It's a relaxing space where people sit on the grass surrounding the circular lake, chat, and exercise for their health. I found myself naturally wandering to the lake throughout my trip. The lake is beautiful during the day, but the night view on a cool night is even more breathtaking! There are quite a few ice cream vendors near the lake, and the locals seem to love it! I joined in, grabbing a 350 won coconut milk ice cream and gazing at the lake to relieve my travel fatigue.
