In recent years, costume restorations in historical dramas have reached new heights! Popular series like "The Longest Day in Chang'an," "Lychees of Chang'an," and "Serenade of Peaceful Joy" have spearheaded the revival of traditional clothing culture. Song Dynasty women's attire primarily featured various cross-collar jackets, shirts, and pleated skirts. For formal occasions, they wore wide-sleeved robes, decorative capes, and long skirts—examples of which have been unearthed from the tombs of Huang Sheng in Fuzhou and Lady Zhou in De'an. The formal attire of Song Dynasty imperial consorts included the huiyi (ceremonial robe), zhuyi (vermilion robe), liyi (ritual robe), and juyi (chrysanthemum robe). The huiyi, adorned with twelve-tiered pheasant patterns, was the grand ceremonial dress for empresses and empress dowagers. The "huiyi system" for ancient imperial consorts and noblewomen originated from the "Three Pheasant Robes" (huiyi, yudi, and quedi) in the "Six Ceremonial Robes of the Queen" from the "Rites of Zhou." Originally sacrificial garments, they were collectively called the "Three Pheasant Robes" due to their pheasant motifs.
