Ganlu Temple in Yongnian

Ganlu Temple: Founded during the Northern and Southern Dynasties in the Northern Wei period, it was originally named Baicao Temple and has a history of 1,400 years. It is said that the third daughter of Emperor Yang of Sui, Princess Nanyang, dissatisfied with her father's tyranny, shaved her head and became a nun here, taking the Dharma name Miaoshan. Enraged, Emperor Yang burned down Baicao Temple. The third princess was rescued by the rebel leader Dou Jiande and later sent to Cangyan Mountain to live in seclusion and practice asceticism.
