Congtai Park in Handan City

At 17:30 on June 22nd, amidst the rain, members of the outdoor group came to Congtai Park, located in the center of Handan City, Hebei Province. The park was established in 1939, centered around the historical Wuling Congtai and developed into a large historical and cultural park. Congtai Park is named after the Wuling Congtai in the center of the park, which was built during the reign of King Wuling of Zhao (325–299 BC) and has a history of over 2000 years. The park is rich in classical architecture, with pavilions, terraces, towers, and attics nestled among the green pines and willows, with mountain views and lake reflections mirroring the light boats. In the middle of the park is Congtai Lake, surrounded by long corridors, rockeries, flower beds, and other structures, with willows swaying gently on the banks. Each landscape is accompanied by a small historical story. To the west of the main road is the park's main building, the ancient Congtai, surrounded by attractions such as the Wangzhu Pavilion, the Seven Sages Temple, and the Handan Stele Forest. To the northeast of the ancient Congtai is the plant and flower viewing area, featuring the Huaiyin Garden, the Magnolia Garden, and the Bonsai Garden.
