Hamilton Zoo

#newzealandtrip Hamilton Zoo is an underrated gem for animal lovers. It’s smaller than some major zoos, but that’s part of its charm—it feels intimate and well-curated. The enclosures are spacious and mimic natural habitats, and the animals seem healthy and well-cared for. Highlights for me were the free-flight aviary and the chance to see a kiwi up close! Staff are friendly and knowledgeable, offering insightful talks. There are plenty of shaded spots and picnic areas, making it perfect for families. It’s not just a zoo; it’s a great place to learn and connect with wildlife. Highly recommend for a relaxed day out.
