UNESCO heritage site Hallstatt

Hallstatt is a UNESCO heritage site because it has long had inhabitants, and its salt deposits allow artefacts of past civilisations to be exceptionally well preserved. It lies along the beautiful lake Hallstatt and had many charming buildings and alleys. A big highlight was the Saltwerken, where they take you on a tour though the salt mines and explain the historic significance of Hallstatt.
