Matsumoto Shave Ice | Hawaii's North Shore's famous shaved ice! 🍧

Matsumoto Shave Ice is a long-established shaved ice shop founded in 1951 by Mamoru Matsumoto in Haleiwa on the North Shore of Oahu. 🍧 It started out as a grocery store, but its shaved ice, served in a shaved ice machine imported from Japan, became popular and has now become a famous shop representing Hawaii. The shop offers about 40 types of syrup, and the most popular is the "Rainbow" which combines three colors: strawberry, lemon, and pineapple. You can also add toppings such as ice cream, red beans, and shiratama, so you can enjoy your favorite flavor. The price of shave ice starts at $3.75, which is unusually reasonable for Hawaii, and is also the secret to its popularity! There is always a line outside, but you can purchase one in about 10 minutes. They also have a wide selection of souvenir items such as colorful and unique original T-shirts and bags, and new items are released every year!
