Song people drank wine, pursuing style and etiquette. Plum vases were used to store wine, which was poured into a pot before drinking. The pot was placed in a warming bowl, and hot water was poured in to warm the wine, which was then poured into a cup for drinking. After the Song Dynasty, porcelain incense burners gradually became mainstream. Hanging paintings originally referred to paintings related to tea that were hung next to the seats at tea parties. Later, scrolls of poems, lyrics, calligraphy, and paintings became the main focus, and they became an important medium for home appreciation or elegant gatherings. The Hutian Kiln in Jingdezhen was one of the largest ancient kilns in the Song and Yuan dynasties. The famous Qingbai porcelain was first fired in the Song Dynasty. Underglaze painting began in the Three Kingdoms period, and overglaze painting began to appear in the Ming and Qing dynasties. Doucai and Wucai porcelain were first fired in the Chenghua and Jiajing periods of the Ming Dynasty. In the Kangxi, Yongzheng, and Qianlong periods, further techniques were developed, such as Famille Rose, enamel, and overglaze blue, ink, and gold. Blue and white porcelain was first fired in the Tang Dynasty and matured in the Yuan Dynasty in Jingdezhen. The cobalt material used to paint Yuan blue and white porcelain was a rare material produced in ancient Persia, which disappeared after the Xuande period. Jiaxing was an important lacquerware production center in the Yuan Dynasty, especially famous for its carved lacquerware. Qianlong visited Jiangnan six times, and visited Haining four times to inspect the seawall. A total of about 13,826 zhang of fish scale stone seawall was built. The Chen family bought the Yuyuan Garden in Salt Officer in the late Ming Dynasty, and it was passed down to Chen Yuanlong, who renamed it Suichu Garden. After Qianlong stayed there, he renamed it Anlan Garden. There were many book collectors in Haining during the Ming and Qing dynasties, including Xu Xiangqing, Zhou Mingfu, Zhu Yibin, and Lu Yu in the Ming Dynasty. After the Qianlong and Jiaqing periods of the Qing Dynasty, there were Zha Shenxing, Wu Qian, Ma Sizhan, Chen Zhan, Xu Dun, Chen Bangyan, and Jiang Guangxun. Haining's book collectors wrote many books, and many of them became famous for their engraved books. They also collected gold and stone tripods, famous calligraphy and paintings, and Han seals and Jin bricks. Haining has two outstanding representatives of gold and stone research - Liu Zhou and Wang Guowei.
