Dongtan Village was first built during the Western Han Dynasty and has a history of over 2,000 years. Dongtan Village was originally the site of the old Zhuya County government in Hainan during the Western Han Dynasty. It has relics such as the Zhuya Temple, ancient wells, ancient city walls, and fountains. It has 13 natural villages under its jurisdiction, including Yongtan Village, Buchuang Village, Rufeng Village, and Binxian Village. In addition to a large number of cultural relics and historical sites in Yongtan Village, there are also ancient sites such as the Wang Clan Ancestral Hall, Volcanic Stone Village Gate, and Feiying Stone Archway in Binxian Village. The Lingshan Temple in Dongtan Village, also known as the "Six Gods Temple", was originally called the "Zhuya Temple" and is a key cultural relic in Haikou. Dongtan Village is one of the first batch of traditional villages in China.
