The scenery of Yangshuo surpasses that of Guilin, and it is indeed not an exaggeration

The scenery of Guilin is the best in the world, and the scenery of Yangshuo is the best in Guilin. I deeply agree with the latter part of this sentence. I took my family, both the elderly and the young, to Guilin for five days, traveling by car. We spent the first two nights in Guilin and the last two nights in Yangshuo. Indeed, the scenery in Yangshuo is more breathtaking. However, whether in Guilin or Yangshuo, one feels like a lamb to the slaughter among the tourists. The most memorable impression of the entire city is the persistent vendors, the touts, and the frustration of having the best photo spots cordoned off for a fee. Every attraction seems to be trying its hardest to make you spend money, and these expenses come from every imaginable or unimaginable process. For example, at the Longji Rice Terraces, while we were either gazing or chatting at the starting point of the scenic area, we were mysteriously recorded by a camera. When we finished our tour and were about to leave, an auntie came rushing up with printed photos, asking if we wanted to buy them, for 50 or 80 yuan each, I forget. It was utterly speechless. For instance, the incessant calls of 'buy some oranges,' 'take a ride,' 'take a boat,' 'buy some toys for the kids'... These calls might just affect the ambient noise, but they would follow you closely, wherever you go, they follow. I have to say that the scenery in Guilin and Yangshuo is beautiful, but the tourism environment and order need improvement (personal feeling). The main attractions we visited were: Elephant Trunk Hill Scenic Area, Two Rivers and Four Lakes Scenic Area, 20 Yuan Scenic Area, Bamboo Rafting, Ten-Mile Gallery, Longji Rice Terraces, and Guilin Romance Park. These attractions are all beautiful!
