After staying here, you won’t want to return to the city! 🌲 The guesthouse is tucked inside the Qiyun Secret Realm Scenic Area, with 85% forest coverage. Just a few steps away are forest trails and the ancient Tea Horse Road. You can also trek upstream, step in the water, and see the original stone slab bridge. Every photo you take looks like a forest masterpiece! The Nordic-style forest cabins really hit the spot—some are by the creek, some on the boardwalk, featuring natural wood elements paired with minimalist interiors, five-star bedding, and smart home technology. Lying down here is super comfortable! Some rooms even have private soaking pools and hot springs. The activities are also a blast! I came once in summer; the river drifting is super refreshing, though the route is a bit short—only 10 minutes. The kids went back and forth twice and still wanted more. During the day, you can go jungle exploring, and at night, there’s a firefly trail on the back mountain. The glowing fireflies look like a river of stars—definitely super romantic in summer! It’s a 5-minute walk to Qing’e Fairy Tea Garden, where you can pick high-mountain cloud mist tea yourself for a full immersive experience. But to be objective: the guesthouse is newly opened, the environment is impeccable, but the service hasn’t quite caught up yet—you have to carry your luggage from the parking lot at the gate, and there’s a bit of a walk from the rooms to the restaurant. It would be great if there was a shuttle. Dining is only available at the hotel, breakfast options are limited, and the menu choices aren’t many, so after two days you might get a bit tired of the food. Putting that aside, waking up to birdsong in the early morning, sitting on the balcony watching the mist drift through the valley, and feeling the 23°C breeze in the evening blows all the fatigue of work away. ✨ Practical Tips: It’s recommended to drive yourself; about 2.5 hours from Chenzhou West Station. The mountain roads are a bit winding, so new drivers should go slow. Be sure to bring a jacket (big temperature difference between day and night) and mosquito repellent.
