The most interesting place in Colombia - the colorful town of Guatape

Guatape is located above Colombia, only 86 kilometers away from the second largest city Medellin. Guatape is most famous for its Guatape Rock and Thousand Islands Lake. 🇨🇴 But for me personally, I think the small town of Guatape is more attractive to me. The reason is very simple. When you enter this town, you will feel like you are in a fairy tale. Guatape, but every street, every house, and every building is very interesting and colorful, with interesting patterns painted on the exterior walls of the houses. There are also different flower baskets hanging under the canopies. On some streets, small three-dimensional pools and fairy-tale sculptures are made. The whole house and the whole street are like a three-dimensional picture. 🌸☘️ In addition, their local transportation ~ small cars are also colorful. Just walking there, you can feel the energy and vigor. 🌼🚙 In the city center, there is a big and beautiful church with a red and white design. In front of the church is a big park. Both sides are restaurants or small shops. Like other locals, I like to sit outside the restaurant, have a bun and a cup of coffee, and relax. There are many unique coffee shops in the town, some of which are ethnic-themed. I remember going to one of them. The design was mainly wood, and there were rooms inside. You had to take off your shoes before entering the room because there were no chairs outside, so you had to sit on the floor. But the room felt quite comfortable, and you could just lean on the pillow and drink coffee leisurely. Since Petape is known as the Thousand Island Lake in American English, you can imagine that the town is actually surrounded by multiple lakes, and you can enjoy the lake views in the town. I personally highly recommend it. If you have enough time, you might as well stay for a few days and slowly appreciate the entire town.
