Blossoms in Yuexiu, Encountering Koi

The annual Spring Festival Lantern Fair is held in Yuexiu Park, and I went to experience the lively festive atmosphere. "Blossoms in Yuexiu, Encountering Koi" is the theme of this year's fair, adding a touch of auspiciousness to the Spring Festival. Seeing koi symbolizes prosperity and good fortune in the coming year, and who wouldn't want to have a good omen? This year's lantern fair features 10 themed exhibition areas. There are two tour routes to choose from. If you have enough time, you can take the longer route and visit each area to fully appreciate the charm of the lantern fair, which takes about 2–3 hours. If you're short on time, the shorter route is also a good option, focusing on the large koi lanterns and the "Good Luck" lanterns at the entrance, which also offer a strong sense of the Spring Festival. The lantern fair runs from January 16 to February 16, with tickets priced at CNY 40. There is a 20% discount during the Spring Festival. The transportation is very convenient. From Exit B1 of Yuexiu Park Station on Guangzhou Metro Line 2, it's a 3–4 minute walk to the park. On-site, I saw friends from other provinces and locals from Guangzhou, all bringing their families and friends to immerse themselves in the lively atmosphere. Everyone's faces were filled with joy, taking photos under the lanterns, and laughter could be heard everywhere.
