The White Swan Hotel has completely changed my perception of 5-star hotels in China.

The White Swan feels like an old-fashioned hotel, but it was renovated in 2017, and the overall experience still feels very welcoming. This time, I stayed in a sea-view room with a 180-degree view of the Pearl River. The 11th-floor height is almost at eye level with the river, giving a majestic feeling. Especially at night, when the lights are off, the direct view of the Pearl River makes for a very restful sleep. 💰 Average cost per person: Room price is 1288 RMB, equivalent to around 1400 HKD. Last time I booked through Trip.com, which was cheaper than the official website. The hotel has two surprising features: 1. The hotel's spa is operated by a third-party contractor, but all the products are directly imported from the Thai brand Thann. The 90-minute service is very comfortable. 💰 Average cost per person: 1000 RMB 2. For breakfast, you can go to the lobby's Hongtu Xuan for dim sum. I found the dim sum to be excellent. The shrimp in the siu mai is large, and the char siu pastry with young ginger is a rare treat. In the morning, one person can't eat too much, so a tea and three dim sum cost 230 HKD. The hotel room has a historical album compiled by the hotel, introducing the history of Guangzhou's foreign trade and the development of the hotel.
