A place in Guangzhou for a day of city walking: Baiyuan.

There are two floors. The first floor is the "Yue Book Bar" library, where you can read and borrow books. The second floor is the exhibition hall of the "Institute of History and Philology, Academia Sinica". The Institute of History and Philology is a famous modern Chinese history and linguistics research institution of the Academia Sinica of the Republic of China. It was founded in Guangzhou in 1928 by the famous historians Fu Sinian and Gu Jiegang. The exhibition is divided into three parts, clearly explaining the history of the Institute of History and Philology in Guangzhou, the establishment and research of the Institute of History and Philology, the protection and restoration of Baiyuan, and the changes in Baiyuan over time. 📍Address: No. 12, Xiuguyuan Road, Yuexiu District 🚉Transportation: Accessible from Dongshankou, next to Peizheng Middle School 🎫: Free, no reservation required Time: 10:00–20:00 (closed on Mondays)
