Recently, Guangzhou has been extremely hot and stuffy. As soon as the weekend arrives, I want to play in the water. I recently discovered a beautiful route where you can hike, trace streams, camp, and fish. Along the way, there are many huge ancient trees, making it feel like you're wandering in a mysterious forest. Shimen National Forest Park is a very large scenic area with a sea of flowers in the Tianchi, bamboo forests, streams, and the paradise peak that mountain climbing enthusiasts long for... 📍 Shimen National Forest Park, Conghua District, Guangzhou 📍 If you only want to visit Shimen Xiangxue (the location of photo 1️⃣, one of the attractions in the park), you can drive directly to Shimen Xiangxue, and park your car upon arrival. 🎫 Park admission: 40 RMB/person, half price for students, 10 RMB/car (free for elderly and children) 📸 Travel Guide ☑️ Hiking Routes👇🏻 1️⃣ Shimen Xiangxue - Peach Blossom Spring - Red Maple Lake (about 5 km round trip) 2️⃣ Shimen Bamboo Sea - Tianchi Flower Sea - Aquatic Botanical Garden (about 8 km round trip) 3️⃣ Paradise Peak, a famous hiking route in Guangdong, but not suitable for beginners. It has a certain degree of climbing difficulty and requires a whole day. ☑️ The scenic area is very large, with several kilometers between each attraction. After entering the park gate, you still need to drive several kilometers to reach Shimen Xiangxue. It is recommended to drive through the forest. ☑️ It is only a few hundred meters walk from Shimen Xiangxue to Peach Blossom Spring. Many people fish and trace streams here, and there are also camping and picnic spots. If you don't have fishing tools, they are sold nearby (20 RMB for a net and a small bucket, the quality is average, it is recommended to bring your own). ☑️ It is recommended to bring a pair of stream tracing shoes. You can trace streams and fish during the hike, which is very interesting. Most places where you can get into the water have moss and are very slippery. Without stream tracing shoes, it is easy to slip. ☑️ There are many shops in the park selling drinks, tofu pudding, jelly, and snacks, so you don't need to bring your own water and food.
