Guangzhou Pet-friendly Homestay / Step into Shanye

How long has it been since you woke up to the sound of birds and insects? And how long has it been since you looked up at the stars while listening to an insect concert? It takes less than 2 hours to drive from the city to Shanye Poetry Society. I've heard that Shanye Poetry Society is pet-friendly and you can go upstream nearby. I asked the homestay and they don't charge extra for dog cleaning, which feels like saving a meal so I booked it right away! Although it's not very cheap, it's great value for money! The homestay is in the mountains, and there is a reservoir on the way up the mountain. It feels like you can play in the water for half a day if you bring all kinds of water equipment. The shop assistant is very gentle and friendly to dogs. Each room comes with a small yard, which is really convenient for traveling with dogs. You don't have to worry about scaring others when you close the small door of the yard. The room is renovated from an old house, very comfortable and quiet. We were the only ones staying on a weekday, no one else, the dog can eat grass and let go everywhere. The plants in the yard are really beautiful. After putting down our luggage, we took a lot of pictures. In the evening, we went to the nearby stream to play in the water. There are no entertainment activities at night, just barbecue with friends in the small yard, drink a little wine, listen to the insect concert, look at the starry sky, relax and leisure. Before going to bed, I wanted to look at the stars. I went out of the homestay's small yard and found that the village bullies were holding a late-night collective meeting at the entrance of the homestay. They greeted us warmly when they saw us coming out. 💫1⃣The homestay is in a small mountain village, basically only the old residents are left, there are no activities at night, you can pass the time by having a barbecue! 2⃣There is a small restaurant run by the elderly in the village where you can eat local chicken, very tasty 3⃣The mountain stream near the homestay is quite narrow, it's better to play in the small river at the entrance of the homestay, it's recommended to drive to a farther place to play in the water. 4⃣There are some free-range village bully dogs in the village, they will bark when they see strangers and dogs, but they are actually quite timid. Please take care of your own dogs and don't bully the village dogs. The village bullies have a lot of ticks, be very careful 5⃣There are really many places nearby where you can play in the water and go upstream, it's really cool!
