Guangzhou People's Park

#大湾区景点 Many cities in the Mainland have their own "People's Park" or "First Park", and Guangzhou's "People's Park" is located on the "traditional central axis" of modern Guangzhou, connecting the city government and Yuexiu Mountain. Locals also call it the "Central Park". The park is not too big and is designed with a square and symmetrical layout. There are some century-old fine-leaved banyan trees in the park, with old trees having tangled roots. I heard from some locals that there were more ancient trees in the park before, with lush green trees. Unfortunately, due to wrong decisions made by the government in recent years, the ancient trees have been cut down or relocated, causing a lot of controversy.
