It was originally funded and built by the Hong Kong Yuen Xuan Institute. Opposite the mountain gate is the main building of the temple, the "Sanqing Hall", which is designed to imitate the "Temple of Heaven" in appearance. There are bell tower and drum tower on both sides of the hall. The Three Pure Ones Hall enshrines the highest and most respected Taoist gods: Yuqing Yuanshi Tianzun, Shangqing Lingbao Tianzun, and Taiqing Daode Tianzun, also known as Taishang Laojun. There is also the "Golden Temple" dedicated to the God of Wealth, Marshal Zhao Gongming.
