Yuanxuan Taoist Temple

Yuanxuan Taoist Temple is located on Yingbin Road in Huadu, Guangzhou. It has a long history and is one of the eight new scenic spots in Huadu. Covering an area of nearly 60,000 square meters, it is a center for Taoist activities and a tourist attraction in Guangdong. The temple architecture draws on the characteristics of classical palaces and temples, with the mountain gate archway as the central gate, which is tall and wide. Inside the mountain gate is a spacious square, with a huabiao (ornamental column) on each side. Facing the mountain gate is the main building of the temple, the Sanqing Hall, which is built in the traditional style of the Temple of Heaven, with a bell tower and a drum tower on either side of the hall. The Sanqing Hall is dedicated to the highest deities of Taoism: Yuqing Yuanshi Tianzun, Shangqing Lingbao Tianzun, and Taiqing Daode Tianzun, also known as Taishang Laojun. The huge sphere on the roof of the hall is made of pure gold. On the right side of the square is Taihe Building, on the left side are Zhonghe Building, Yuanxuan Villa, and the Elderly Home, and there are also Guanyin Hall, Doumu Hall, and Taisui Hall.
