Andalucia Tour ~ Granada A visit to the Monastery of San Jerónimo is an amazing experience, a spectacular, beautiful Renaissance monastery dating back to the early 16th century. Although there is an entrance fee, it is worth it as it allows you to see several of the monastery's rooms, one of its two preserved cloisters (originally there were four), and the church, which houses the mausoleum of one of the abbots. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in history and architecture. The monastery is one of the most marvelous churches I have ever seen, rich with intricate details that capture the eye and imagination. Every corner of the monastery tells a story that is hundreds of years old. The craftsmanship and artistry displayed in its architecture is truly breathtaking.
