From Bingzhongluo Directly to the Yunnan-Tibet Border

Winter and spring are the best seasons to visit the Nujiang River Valley, as summers in the valley are hot and rainy. Considering all factors, staying in Gongshan is a suitable choice. It's about 40 kilometers from Gongshan to Bingzhongluo, and about 70 kilometers to the Yunnan-Tibet border. For local tourists focused on sightseeing, you can skip staying in Bingzhongluo and just pass through. After breakfast, leave Gongshan County by the Nujiang River and head north along National Highway G219. In the early morning, before the sun fully crests the high mountains, the areas near the river are shrouded in mist, with houses and forests appearing and disappearing in the haze, creating a truly ethereal beauty. Near Bingzhongluo, park your car in the parking area near the viewing platform and stroll along the boardwalk to fully appreciate the First Bend of the Nujiang River and the surrounding scenery. Continuing onward, you'll pass Bingzhongluo Town and Qiunatong Village. There are parking areas along the highway at most scenic spots. After passing the checkpoint and driving for over ten kilometers, you'll reach the Yunnan-Tibet border. The road surface and scenery along this stretch are excellent. On the Yunnan side of the Yunnan-Tibet border area, the road is wide and parking is easy. In the distance, the road conditions within Tibet are not as good, likely due to geological limitations. After taking in the sights, you can return and choose to stay overnight in Bingzhongluo or continue south to Fugong County.
