Christmas bar in a medieval castle

#EuropeanChristmas Winter bar Gravensteen is a pop-up bar held in the winter every December as part of the Christmas and New Year celebrations in Ghent. This year, it will be open from December 5 to 31, 2024. The location of this winter bar is in the basement next to the stables and ticket counter of Gravensteen Castle or Castle of the Counts - a medieval fortress that is an important tourist attraction of the city. To enter the castle, you must buy an entrance ticket, but if you want to use the Winter bar only, you can enter for free. The most outstanding thing is the atmosphere because this is a real basement of an ancient castle, decorated with dim lights and decorated with Christmas trees in every corner. There is a large bar at the very back. There are many spacious seats. Sitting and eating, sipping drinks, you will also get a medieval Christmas atmosphere. It is a very impressive experience. The menu has a variety of drinks and easy-to-eat food such as cheese boards, sandwiches, burgers, pancakes...etc. Note that even though it is a bar, it has a menu that appeals to children who come as a family. Almost every menu item is available in both regular and small child-sized dishes. What I like is that adults like us asked to order Spaghetti Bolognese in a child size and the staff made it for us without any fuss. After trying it, the noodles were quite soft but the sauce was delicious. As for the drink, we ordered Homemade Ginger Citron Lemonade, which was a sweet and sour lemonade with a hint of ginger.
