Qili Ancient Town on the Upper Gan River

It was early spring in March again, and I arrived in Ganzhou and stayed at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. With half a day to spare, I thought about going for a walk around the hotel. A friend reminded me that there was an ancient town right next to the hotel. So I embarked on this unplanned trip to the ancient town. The ancient town is located on the right bank of the Gong River. On that day, I walked upstream along the riverside path. I saw towering ancient trees and the gently flowing river, forming beautiful landscapes under the blue sky. There was an ancient wharf along the river every now and then. These wharves played a very important role in history, serving as important sources for transporting tribute wood and tribute bamboo. From the Ming Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, Ganzhou was an important producer of tribute wood and tribute bamboo, and these wharves witnessed the bustling scenes of that time. It was not until after the reform and opening up that these wharves faded into history. On the left side of the riverside path are rows of antique buildings, such as the Jiangyou Guild Hall, which was an important place for merchants to gather and exchange ideas. There are also the Zhuangyuan Shrine and Wenchang Pavilion, indicating that merchants at that time also attached great importance to education. Walking inland from the riverside, there is a main street with various local restaurants and shops. It's a place that lively people like to visit. However, due to the high ticket price, there were few tourists.
