[Sea trip with a like-minded friend, Gangneung]

Those were really youthful days. While wandering around the student center in my first year of college, I met some great people in a photography club that I happened to join. I was grateful to be able to be with such great people in a foreign place like Seoul. That’s why the activities here that decorated my early 20s are engraved in my memories. Most of the time, I took pictures around Seoul on the weekends, but during the vacation, we went far away and the first place we went was Gangneung. It’s a city that can be reached in two hours by KTX from Seoul, and it’s easy to travel to other cities in Gangwon-do, so we headed to Gangneung. You shouldn’t forget to visit 🌊Gyeongpo Beach🌊, which is known as a famous sunrise spot along with Jeongdongjin. It’s great to enjoy swimming in the clear waters of Gyeongpo Beach, which is as clear as jade, or to sit on a tree-lined road near the beach and talk to your friends while looking at the ocean. The color of the water is pretty, just like the East Sea, so it’s the perfect place to take pictures. There are many sculptures for taking pictures here and there along the beach, so you can take pretty pictures with your friends. However, I recommend visiting Ojukheon, known as the birthplace of Yulgok Yi I. Designated as National Treasure No. 165, Ojukheon is home to the Yulgok Memorial Hall, Citizens' Museum, and Folk Museum, which can be toured in about an hour, so it is recommended to visit after lunch as a walking course.
