Lake Tekapo: The second largest lake in the north of the Mackenzie Basin, Lake Tekapo is fed by the Godley River and is 700 meters above sea level, with a catchment area of 83 square kilometers. It is located between Christchurch and Queenstown, two famous tourist cities on New Zealand's South Island, in the heart of the Mount Cook Basin and Mackenzie.
