National Maritime Museum

#srilankatrip Visiting the National Maritime Museum in Galle Fort was really interesting! Housed in a charming old Dutch warehouse, it’s full of maritime history vibes. From traditional fishing boat models to shipwreck treasures and marine ecology displays, I learned so much! The building itself is super cool, supposedly the longest Dutch structure in Southeast Asia. However, the $6 entry fee felt a bit steep, the floor was uneven, and no AC made it a tad hot—bring a fan! Tt’s worth a visit, especially if you’re into history and the ocean!
