| French retro romance by Yan Fu's hometown. I've been eyeing this homestay since its opening last year, and finally had the chance to stay during my return to Fuzhou! The homestay is located by the Mazhou River in Yangqi Village, a historic cultural ancient village that also happens to be the former residence of the great thinker Yan Fu! The exterior of the homestay features pristine white walls, as pure and elegant as Fuzhou's city flower, the jasmine. Upon entering the first-floor lobby, you're greeted by floor-to-ceiling windows, a fireplace from Germany, chairs from Denmark, and sofas from Australia - these unique furnishings make the entire space stand out! Guest rooms are distributed across the second to fourth floors, each remarkably spacious. I stayed in their Lakeside Home Theater Room, which boasts two massive floor-to-ceiling windows. Whether standing or sitting on the small sofa by the window, you can enjoy panoramic views of Mazhou River below. The bathroom features my favorite dry-wet separation design - a major plus! The room also comes with an enormous projector screen - imagine lounging on the sofa with watermelon, drinks, and snacks while binge-watching your favorite shows! By the way, the homestay's lobby serves afternoon tea, and there's a huge rooftop swimming pool upstairs. The top floor also has a cocktail terrace booth - nothing beats sipping drinks under the stars at night, and the photo opportunities are absolutely Instagram-worthy!
