Share how to get to Shiraito Falls and Lake Tanuki.

#SoloTravelPlan Today I will share how to travel to Lake Tanuki and Shiraito Falls in Fujinomiya City, Shizuoka Prefecture as a day trip by bus. It is easy and very convenient to travel. The bus arrives exactly on time. 📍We bought a 2 Days Free bus pass ticket for 1,850 yen (Shiraito Falls & Lake Tanuki Local Bus Ticket). The ticket office is under the overpass where we exited Fujinomiya Station. The seller gave good advice, telling us to buy the pass because it is cheaper than using an IC card. We also got a bus schedule and a brochure recommending places to visit. 📍Walk to wait at platform 2, Nyoraiji-iriguchi stop. 📍The first place we got off was Shiraito Falls, getting off at Shiraito no Taki stop. The entrance fee is 500 yen. It takes about 3-5 minutes to walk to the waterfall. On the day we went, it was raining and the fog was so thick that we could barely see the waterfall. We spent about 40 minutes there, and then we came back to wait for the bus 5 minutes before the scheduled time. The bus arrived on time. 📍Then we continued to Lake Tanuki. Take the bus and get off at Tanuki-ko bus stop. Walk a little bit more and you will reach the entrance of Lake Tanuki. The atmosphere is nice, the sky is cloudy and rainy, but it does not rain. The air is fresh, but Fuji is very shy and only comes out to see a little bit. 📍On the way back, come out and wait at the bus stop as usual. The bus is on time. Take the bus back to Fujinimiya Station. 📍When you want to get on the bus, show the pass you bought to the driver. 📍There will be a screen on the bus showing the bus stop and the price. If anyone wants to pay in cash or tap an IC card. 📍Or if anyone is more convenient to go to Lake Tanuki first, you can stop by Shiraito Falls on the way back. #Travel plan giveaway #tanukilake #shiraitofalls #fujinomiya #shizuoka⁡ #Travel in Japan

Breathtaking Fuji Views & Lake Day Bliss in Yamanakako 🌄🏞️ Experience the stunning harmony of Japan’s iconic Mount Fuji and the tranquil Lake Yamanaka—perfect for nature lovers and view seekers! Begin your journey at Mount Fuji’s Fujinomiya side, where the year-round open trails let you catch dramatic vistas and, in the colder months, Fuji’s picturesque snow cap. Hiking trails here are less crowded—try the Fujinomiya 5th Station for unbeatable panoramic shots of both the peak and surrounding highlands (remember to layer up early morning, as it gets chilly even in late spring!). For the best “insta-worthy” angles, use the observation deck near the station, framing Fuji with foreground pine trees for scale. Next, head north to Lake Yamanaka, Japan’s largest of the Fuji Five Lakes. Stroll the lake shores anytime; mornings are magical when the reflection of snowy Fuji glimmers on the glassy water. Rent a bike or walk the lakeside pathways; the panoramic pier viewpoint (Yamanakako Hirano area) is a must for Fuji-in-the-background portraits. If you’re into water sports, paddle boats make for great action shots and lakeside fun. Practical tips: Both spots are open year-round, but public transport is sparse in winter, so check bus schedules and pack a snack or two. If you visit between Nov–Apr, temps drop sharply—bring a windbreaker and gloves! Fuji weather can shift quickly; a compact rain jacket is handy. If you need to grab food, Yamanakako has quaint cafés by the shoreline—my tip: the local matcha latte makes a perfect lakeside treat. #MountFuji #LakeYamanaka #Fujinomiya #FujiFiveLakes #JapanNature
