18 hours transit day in Manila 🇵🇭 🥱

If you have 18 hours in Manila, you can experience a mix of the city’s rich history, culture, and cuisine. Here’s a suggested itinerary to help you make the most of your time: 🌞Morning Start your day by exploring the historic district of Intramuros, the walled city that was the center of Spanish colonial rule. Key sites to visit include ⛪️Fort Santiago- A citadel that played a significant role in Philippine history, particularly during the Spanish colonial era. ⛪️San Agustin Church- The oldest stone church in the Philippines and a UNESCO World Heritage site, known for its beautiful baroque architecture. ⛪️Manila Cathedral- A stunning example of neo-Romanesque architecture, this cathedral is also rich in history. 🥣Lunch Enjoy a meal at a local restaurant within Intramuros or head to a nearby eatery for traditional Filipino cuisine. Try dishes like adobo, sinigang, or lechon. ♨️Afternoon National Museum Complex Visit the National Museum of the Philippines, which includes several museums Rizal Park (Luneta Park) After the museums, stroll through Rizal Park, a historical urban park dedicated to the national hero, Dr. José Rizal. It’s a great place to relax and take photos. 🌇Evening Dinner and Manila Bay Sunset: Head to Manila Bay to enjoy a sunset view. You can find numerous restaurants along the baywalk area where you can dine while enjoying the scenic sunset. Consider trying local seafood dishes or other Filipino specialties. Cultural Performance or Night Market 🚶Explore a local night market, such as the Mercato Central or Salcedo Market, for street food and local products. 🌃Late Night Experience Manila’s Nightlife 💫Bonifacio Global City (BGC) 💫Makati #awesomepic #couplestrip #deliciousfood #manila #philippine #travel_lover

Amazing building. Italy’s cathedrals never cease to impress me. Every time I go near it I am in awe of its beauty. I would recommend to buy a ticket to climb the tower. With the tower, you’ll still get the view of the Duomo, but perhaps without the day long queues. The morning time is much easier in terms of crowds than evening times. Even at midnight the crowd never stops. Definitely go here when you get the chance!#境外遊 #awesomepic

Discovering Nature's Drama & Renaissance Wonders 🌄⛲🕍 Start your adventure in Urumqi County—especially if, like me, Duku’s rugged beauty calls your name! Head to Bilong Bay in the Urumqi Tianshan Grand Canyon Scenic Area (Dengcaogou Village, Banfanggou Township; open year-round, all day). Explore winding boardwalks hugging the turquoise water, ideal for a sunrise stroll or picnic by the rocks. Don’t miss snapping the canyon’s sheer cliffs reflecting on the bay for a truly “insta-worthy” landscape. At Swan Lake, also found in the Tianshan Grand Canyon Scenic Area, early mornings promise quiet, magical mist and maybe—if you’re lucky—graceful swans gliding by. I recommend bringing a windbreaker, as canyon gusts can surprise you! For both spots: Carry water, dress in layers (mountain weather flips fast!), mind slippery stones, and double-check your route as signage is sparse. Duku’s peaceful vibe is best savored with lingering pauses—don’t rush! Skip continents to Florence and the iconic Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore (Piazza del Duomo, 50122 Firenze; open Mon-Sat 10:15–15:45, closed Sun). Marvel at the grand facade, but the real star is the climb up Brunelleschi’s dome for panoramic city views—get tickets in advance and conquer those 463 steps! The piazza itself is a prime photo spot, especially early when crowds are thin. Respect the dress code (covered shoulders/knees), expect queues, and don’t miss the cathedral’s shadow moving across the square as light shifts. #UrumqiCounty #DukuAdventure #Florence #NatureMeetsArt #EpicItinerary#travel #xinjiangfood
