Italy 🇮🇹|The Birthplace of the Renaissance, Florence - The City of Flowers

The Florence described by Xu Zhimo is Florence. "The City of Flowers" refers to Florence in Italy. This name comes from its original Italian name. Firenze, meaning "City of Flowers," is the cradle of the Renaissance, located in Tuscany, Italy. 🩷 Formerly controlled by the Medici family, Florence became a major cultural, commercial, and financial center in medieval Europe. It served as the capital of unified Italy from 1865 to 1871. The Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore is breathtaking. It's so captivating you'll want to see more. I couldn't bear to leave, so I took a few more photos with this magnificent building. 🤣👏 Seeing the "Gate of Paradise," praised by Michelangelo, was truly incredible. ✨️✨️✨️ The statue of David was everywhere, and I don't know how many I saw. 🤣🤣🤣 Taking photos at the Ponte Vecchio is a lifelong experience. ❗️❗️❗️❗️ The more days you spend in Italy, the more you'll appreciate it. This country is full of art, culture, and a strong emphasis on taste and style. ✨️ The cascading chocolate wall at the Venchi Chocolate Shop is truly eye-catching 🍫🍫 Business is booming, and the lines for their gelato are incredibly long. Venchi Chocolate is quite well-known ❗😋 The carousel in the square is so colorful and adorable, it looks stunning in every photo. 🎠 It's a shame I didn't get to go. 😂 This city of art is truly stunning. 🥰✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️ A full day here feels like just a quickie. 😂 Stay at least two or three days to truly appreciate the essence of Italian art. 😂 There are incredibly dedicated street performers who I admire immensely. 👍🩷 There are also many talented street artists. I'm completely captivated by this city. ❗ #Firenze #Basilica of Santa Croce #Santa Maria Novella #Italia #Italy 🇮🇹 #Florence #Fountain of Neptune #poptour #poptour #travel #cooltravelexperiences #travelholic #PhotographyGuide #100Ways to Travel

Discovering Nature's Drama & Renaissance Wonders 🌄⛲🕍 Start your adventure in Urumqi County—especially if, like me, Duku’s rugged beauty calls your name! Head to Bilong Bay in the Urumqi Tianshan Grand Canyon Scenic Area (Dengcaogou Village, Banfanggou Township; open year-round, all day). Explore winding boardwalks hugging the turquoise water, ideal for a sunrise stroll or picnic by the rocks. Don’t miss snapping the canyon’s sheer cliffs reflecting on the bay for a truly “insta-worthy” landscape. At Swan Lake, also found in the Tianshan Grand Canyon Scenic Area, early mornings promise quiet, magical mist and maybe—if you’re lucky—graceful swans gliding by. I recommend bringing a windbreaker, as canyon gusts can surprise you! For both spots: Carry water, dress in layers (mountain weather flips fast!), mind slippery stones, and double-check your route as signage is sparse. Duku’s peaceful vibe is best savored with lingering pauses—don’t rush! Skip continents to Florence and the iconic Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore (Piazza del Duomo, 50122 Firenze; open Mon-Sat 10:15–15:45, closed Sun). Marvel at the grand facade, but the real star is the climb up Brunelleschi’s dome for panoramic city views—get tickets in advance and conquer those 463 steps! The piazza itself is a prime photo spot, especially early when crowds are thin. Respect the dress code (covered shoulders/knees), expect queues, and don’t miss the cathedral’s shadow moving across the square as light shifts. #UrumqiCounty #DukuAdventure #Florence #NatureMeetsArt #EpicItinerary#travel #xinjiangfood
