Spent the day wandering through Exeter, and it truly surprised me with its charm and history. Started off at the stunning Exeter Cathedral — a breathtaking example of Gothic architecture, with vaulted ceilings that seem to stretch endlessly upwards. The peaceful green outside made for a perfect spot to soak in the spring sunshine. From there, I strolled along the Exeter Quayside, where old warehouses now house cosy cafés and quirky shops. The riverside walk was calm and breezy — ideal for a mid-morning coffee break. In the afternoon, I ventured into the Royal Albert Memorial Museum — small but packed with curiosities from Devon and beyond. Then, a bit of shopping on the High Street before a peaceful detour down Gandy Street, which feels straight out of a storybook. Wrapped up the day with a pint in a local pub, chatting with friendly locals and enjoying the relaxed pace of this beautiful cathedral city. Exeter may be quieter than London, but it has a magic all its own. #travel
