Second - class often lacks seats and needs extra booking. 3. Eurotrain can serve as a golden train without seat - booking. Just ask the attendant for available first - class seats. Second class is crowded. 4. Eurolink allows you to take a lake - area cruise without seat - booking. You can even go to the first - class dining car. 5. Note that public transport and cable cars aren't covered and need extra payment. Switzerland has great public transport and a small area. No need to live in the mountains for the living environment. You can choose cost - effective places instead of popular areas. Luggage can be stored at stations.
