First Encounter: A Stunning Opening Standing at the entrance of Enshi Grand Canyon, a gentle breeze caressed my cheeks, bringing a refreshing coolness. Looking up, the rolling mountains resembled a giant dragon in slumber, its massive body stretching across the earth, merging with the distant horizon. The golden sunlight poured down, outlining the peaks with a dazzling golden edge, creating a dreamlike scene that made me feel as if I were in a fairyland. Entering the scenic area, the first sight that caught my eye was the Yunlong Ground Fissure. Standing on the viewing platform, the earth seemed to have been split open by a divine axe, with a deep fissure through which a roaring, silver dragon-like river surged, exuding a majestic and powerful aura. Descending along the steep boardwalk, I could more deeply appreciate the wonders of nature. The cliffs on both sides were as straight as a knife, with rock textures clearly visible, like unique imprints carved by time. The boardwalk, like a ribbon, was embedded in the cliffs, with a bottomless abyss below, making my heart race. Holding onto the railing tightly, I moved slowly, my heart pounding. But when I mustered the courage to overcome my fear and looked into the distance, the scenery instantly made me forget all my tension and unease. The distant mountains undulated, shrouded in mist, resembling a fairyland. The peaks appeared and disappeared in the mist, some like swords piercing the sky, some like camels trudging forward, and some like fairies standing gracefully, each with its own unique form. I couldn't help but marvel at the wonders of nature, which, like a great artist, created such awe-inspiring and magical landscapes. Encountering "A Stick of Incense": A Miracle of Nature After hours of arduous climbing, I finally reached the iconic attraction of Enshi Grand Canyon - "A Stick of Incense." From afar, a giant stone pillar stood alone among the peaks, thick at the top and thin at the bottom, as if a gentle breeze could topple it. Upon closer inspection, I was deeply impressed by its grandeur. The stone pillar is over 150 meters high, with a base diameter of only 4 meters, yet it has stood tall for thousands of years. It resembles a sharp sword piercing the sky, or a loyal and fearless guardian silently protecting this magical land. The sunlight cast a long shadow of the pillar, slanting across the mountains. I stood in front of "A Stick of Incense" for a long time, filled with awe for nature, reluctant to leave. Immersed in Tujia Culture: A Taste of Enshi In addition to the magnificent natural scenery, the Tujia culture of Enshi Grand Canyon also captivated me. In a Tujia village near the scenic area, I had the opportunity to taste authentic Tujia cuisine. The Tujia bacon was golden and tempting, with a rich aroma lingering on my tongue; the tofu was delicate and smooth, rich in nutrients, a traditional dish passed down through generations; the oil tea soup was fragrant, warming me from head to toe. Each dish was filled with the wisdom and passion of the Tujia people, making me feel a sense of warmth and belonging. As night fell, I happily joined a Tujia bonfire party. The blazing bonfire lit up the night sky, and Tujia men, women, and children sang and danced around it. Their songs were melodious, like mountain streams; their dances were passionate and full of life, drawing me in. At that moment, I forgot all my worries and immersed myself in the joyful and harmonious atmosphere.
