El Calafate (Spanish: El Calafate) is a small town in Argentina located in the heart of the Patagonia region, on the southern shore of Lake Argentino. There is a unique plant in the glacier area that looks like a small blueberry, called 'Calafate.' Locals often pick this plant and make it into jam, so you can find this jam being sold everywhere in the town. It makes for a great souvenir!
