Best place to walk and see Edinburgh. All the historical buildings, cafes, and tourists.

#edinburghtrips Walking the Royal Mile is like stepping back in time. Stretching from Edinburgh Castle to Holyrood Palace, this iconic cobbled street is the cultural and historical backbone of the city. every corner revealed something new street performers, centuries old closes, cozy pubs, and stunning architecture. The vibe changes as you go. Absolutely gorgeous street, lovely buildings with awesome architecture, colours and shapes, makes the street look so mysterious and impressive at the same time. It’s wonderful to walk here no matter the weather #royalmile

Royal Mile

#edinburghtripsEdinburgh is one of those cities that feels like it belongs in both the past and the present. Walking along the Royal Mile, with its cobbled streets and old stone buildings, you can almost hear the echoes of history, yet the city feels alive and modern at the same time. During the festival, the Royal Mile was buzzing with street performers, music, and laughter, turning the city into one giant stage. I spent hours watching jugglers and musicians, swept up in the energy, but what I loved most was how Edinburgh still offered quiet escapes. Climbing up Arthur’s Seat and sitting above the city was a moment of calm I’ll never forget, while Calton Hill at sunset felt like everything slowed down — golden light spilling over a city alive with celebration. Edinburgh has this rare mix of grandeur, coziness, and vibrancy, pulling you in until you feel like you’re part of its story.
