It's also close to the Register House, Scottish National Portrait Gallery, and Scottish Open, making it a great choice for those who want to explore the city. The hotel's location is definitely a highlight. It's not only convenient for transportation, but also for shopping. There are many shops and restaurants around St. Andrew Square, so shopping lovers will be very happy. The hotel has a modern style and was renovated in 2018, so everything is new. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful, and check-in is smooth. The rooms are practical and have a homey feel, with a kitchenette and all the necessary utensils. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the fridge is stocked with water and milk, which is a nice touch. 🧃 The rooms also have a washing machine, dishwasher, coffee machine, kettle, and toaster, so you can easily make tea or coffee. The beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms have hairdryers and Malin+Goetz toiletries, which are great for the cold weather in Edinburgh. The lotion is especially moisturizing. ❤️ There are also many great places to visit around the hotel. Mary King's Close is a mysterious and historic place where you can experience the unique charm of Edinburgh. The Palace of Holyroodhouse is the official royal residence and has a history of over 500 years. It's a must-see for those who want to explore the palace and admire the art. 🏰 The Royal Mile is also a short walk away, with many interesting shops and photo opportunities. The only downside is that you can't cook anything that produces smoke in the rooms, as it may trigger the fire alarm. But if you don't need to cook anything complicated, this isn't a big issue. Also, the rooms don't have slippers, so remember to bring your own. But these small downsides don't affect my love for this hotel. Overall, Cheval The Edinburgh Grand is a great choice for those who want to explore Edinburgh. It has a great location, friendly service, and complete facilities.
